This is an interesting article on the heels of my webinar on Cover Crops and Climate Change.
I've read other reports of the earth "greening" a bit over the past decade or so and this seems plausible.
The effect this has on water, I think, needs to continue to be monitored.
Becoming a no-till farm has never been more important. Using cover crops to protect our soil health and keep moisture in our soil is certainly part of this equation for a greener planet!
From the article: "Water is the most precious resource needed for plants to grow, and our research suggests that vegetation is becoming much better at using it in a world in which CO₂ levels continue to rise."
